Best movies of 2018 so far - February 1
January 2018 - the month when I nearly cracked it and actually watched or at least had lined up every movie released in the UK.
But, sadly, I was denied - not by my own laziness but by a cinema having a policy of not screening films for just one person.
Step forward the Piccadilly in Leicester - I drove for an hour and arrived on time with the intention of ticking off both Thaanaa Serndha Koottam and Gulaebhagavali.
The counter assistant told me they wouldn't be run without more than one customer and was unsympathetic when I told him how far I had come and of my hopes of watching every movie.
Both films went unwatched and remain so.
Otherwise, it has been a truly memorable month for the cinema with two 10/10 films and a bag of 9.5s.
So, less of the chat and on with the year's first top 20....
