Best movies of 2019 so far - February 1
Yes, since 2011, Mrs W and I have been schlepping around the country in search of the obscure so I can post reviews on this blog.
She is a saint.
This year is slightly different in that, for the first time, I am taking a very specific guide to my movie watching.
Every week the British Film Institute issues a list of movies which are being released. It is the nearest thing to completion I know so I am going to stick to it and occasionally chuck others in if I become aware of them.
Already, this is making life a lot simpler and means I am missing fewer. But it is only January.
This is usually one of my favourite months for movies, very often throwing up the best picture of my year.
I have to say, I have been a little disappointed so far.
However, there have been some good ones and here are the best of what I have seen, in my opinion...
