Another week and another Polish movie about gangsters at UK cinemas but at least this one is a genuine comedy, doesn't denigrate women and keeps its violence relatively low key.
Kacper Anuszewski and Michal Milowicz's film reunites, after 20 years, the crew of cult movie Boys Don't Cry in a farce which surrounds police and criminal double-dealing.
Olaf Lubaszenko plays a mafia boss who organises a daring heist on a police station to steal 120kg of cannabis only to find that the stash is white mulberry.
It turns out that the station's evidence officer (Slawomir Zapala) is involved in the swap - all for the married woman (Izabella Miko) he loves.
Milowicz and Przemyslaw Sadowski are the not-so-undercover cops who see the failed heist as an opportunity to nail gangsters.
Meanwhile, Cezary Pazura and  Artur Dziurman are the Central Bureau of Investigation officers who suspect an internal scam.
Actually, most of the chuckles are elicited from Piotr Nowak and Krzysztof Kwiatkowski as two very dim henchmen who continually mess up under the supposed mentorship of 'Needle' (Miroslaw Zbrojewicz)- a man who uses just that to torture victims.
The movie is based around misunderstandings - be they simple inability to comprehend orders or the total failure of numerous plans.
Unfortunately, a fair few of the jokes went over my head because they appeared to require native knowledge but I did chuckle a few times, largely thanks to the slapstick antics of the gangster stooges.
Futro z misia also showed off a slice of Poland which is rarely seen. Indeed, Zakopane looks more like a Swiss ski resort than I would have expected.
Will it be everyone's cup of tea? If you are plugged into Polish humour, definitely. If you have no experience of it, then it may be a tricky place to start.

Did you know? Poland legalised the medical use of cannabis in July 2017. The law went into effect in November 2017.

The final word. Michał Milowicz: "This decision has been in my mind for years. I was hungry to do something that I hope would be up to the level of gangster comedies of past years and will finally be something of mine."
