Everyfilm's top 20 movies of 2020

Was it really this year that we watched 1917?

It seems so long ago that we were even allowed to go to the cinema

Thanks to the pandemic, the 10th year of the everyfilm challenge has been made up of me trying to guess what would have been shown on the big screen.

Then I gave up and started to take in Netflix movies, realising that they were being accepted for Oscar nominations.

In other words, it's a damned mess.

Nevertheless, I have tried to conjure a top 20 from the wreckage, draw a line under 2020 and move on.

Let's hope for much better things in 2021.

But for now here are my favourites of the past 12 months.
